Philly food moguls Stephen Starr, Michael Solomonov, and Audrey Claire Taichman sponsored and supported Audi FEASTIVAL to benefit FringeArts and the local Philadelphia art community. What makes this celebration different from the previous years is that it was held at the FringeArts headquarters. The event began at 5:15pm with a few comics on the outdoor festival stage while guests played games and enjoyed some food and drinks. It was a perfect, clear night for some outdoor fun. The event was held on Friday, Sept. 18, in the Museum’s Vaulted Walkway and kicks off the Young Friends’ year-long drive to support vital projects for the museum. A highlight of the evening is the fashionable dress female members wear to the fundraiser. The Trestle Inn Gets Clean with Philadelphia Pet Hotel, PAWS at the Dog Wash
by Jean Donohue Beer, music, a 60s style go-go dancer, and… dogs? The Philadelphia Pet Hotel partnered with The Trestle Inn for an event that featured all of the above and more. Inspired by the 1970s blockbuster hit “Car Wash,” the partnership delivered a sidewalk party that was perfect for dog lovers. The event was a benefit for PAWS, Philadelphia’s largest no-kill animal shelter. For dog owners, $35 was worth a dog wash, a donation to PAWS, and two pints of Neshaminy Creek Croydon Cream Ale. Story, photos by Lou Perri Miss Georgia, Betty Cantrell, was crowned Miss America 2016 at the birthplace of the legendary competition in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall for its 95th Anniversary broadcast on the ABC Television Network. Vanessa Williams returned to the Miss America stage after 32 years since her crowning as Miss America 1984 and served as Head Judge. Williams opened the show with a performance of “Oh How the Years Go By.” Williams joined host Chris Harrison, co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet, music curator Nick Jonas and celebrity judges Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Danica McKellar, Kevin O’Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya. Widener Director and CEO of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and his gifted staff, but they did it again with another wonderful exhibit. The Philadelphia Museum of Art offers visitors The Wrath of the Gods: Masterpieces by Rubens, Michelangelo, and Titian. The exhibition focuses on one of the finest works by the great Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640), Prometheus Bound. This ambitious, large-scale painting, described by the artist himself as “the flower of my stock,” is presented alongside works by the Renaissance and Baroque masters who inspired Rubens’s dramatic treatment of the eternal torment…

While Explore NJ enjoyed seeing the most beautiful women in the United States, the purpose was to photograph and interview the four ladies from the Mid-Atlantic states, Miss New Jersey, Miss Pennsylvania, Miss Delaware and Miss New York. Here are summaries of those young women.
