Photo, story by Brittany Harlow On Oscar night, Sunday, February 28th, The Philadelphia Film Society hosted an Awards Night Party and Screening at the Prince Theatre. The glamorous event was lavish in golden Oscar inspired décor, and the guests arrived dressed to the nines. The black tie optional event featured a red carpet, mobile photographers (amateurs like myself included) and a professional photo station. According to their website, “McGillin’s Olde Ale House threw open its doors the year Lincoln was elected president. That’s shortly after the Liberty Bell cracked and long before ground was broken for Philadelphia City Hall. The beer taps have been flowing since 1860 — making it one of the oldest taverns in the country.” With such a rich history, McGillin’s Old Ale House is a must-stop for locals and tourists alike. The bar is filled with history…
