A Night of Art: The Bazemore Gallery Holiday Celebration
Photos, story by Tori Radday
The Bazemore Gallery kicked off the holiday season with an intimate celebration. They invited guests to view the work of the featured artists, mingle with other creative-minded people, appreciate the modern atmosphere of the gallery and enjoy light snacks and refreshments. The party took place at The Bazemore Gallery itself, located in Manayunk at 4339 Main Street, Philadelphia.
The second that we stepped into the Bazemore Gallery, we were impressed by the refreshingly modern interior. Light-colored, hip wooden floors, a partial brick wall and a massive detailed wooden door all contributed to the Zen atmosphere. Gallery owner Lenny Bazemore, injects an element of life into his gallery with plants in a wall display lit by changing LED lights and a massive, exquisite “living wall”. The “living wall” consists of incredible plants growing out of a section of the wall. It creates a beautiful aesthetic in the gallery.
Even more impressive than the design of the gallery was the art featured. The holiday party featured art by Lenny Bazemore, Elena Achilli, Ella Kolanowska, Justin Y, James Brantley, Noel Miles, Alan Soffer, Sandi Neiman Lovitz, Chantal Westby, Alex lowy, Jessica Libor, Inna Race and Ellen Tiberino. The modern art featured varied from paintings to mosaics. Within a short time of my arrival, the gallery filled with guests that were eager to see the art featured and celebrate the Bazemore Gallery. Guests praised the artwork as well as personable gallery owner, Lenny Bazemore himself.
The holiday celebration was a hit and you can be sure to look forward to future gallery events at the Bazemore Gallery.
