Appeasing the Growing Anticipation, The Logan Hotel Hosts Grand Opening
By Jordan Price
Although The Logan Philadelphia officially opened in December, they saved their Grand Opening Celebration for a cool Wednesday evening at the end of February. In the space once occupied by the Four Seasons at 1 Logan Square, The Logan opened as part of Hilton’s Curio Collection right off the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
On Wednesday, February 24th, The Logan hosted folks from Philadelphia’s booming tourism industry to show off the space, including their eclectic food and spirits options, from cocktails at The Commons and The Library, their upscale takes on the standard hotel or lobby bar, to Urban Farmer, a locally-sourced steakhouse.
The evening also featured their ballrooms, which were decked out with decadent treats and beverages to whet any appetite and wet any whistle.
Their Champagne and Oyster lounge was open and shelling out bivalves to the glamorous guests, while the Stenton Ballroom hosted a “Dessert Afterglow” with frozen delights and sweet endings to the evening.
Patrons can look forward to this summer, when The Logan will open up the Assembly Rooftop Lounge nine floors above the City of Brotherly Love, looking over Logan Square and out to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The space will focus on cocktails and class, and promises to become a chic addition to the Parkway.
The Logan, “Philadelphia’s Hotel”, also serves as a veritable gallery of local artists and their work. From sculptures to paintings to multimedia pieces, it’s clear that the value of art is not lost in this beautiful space. Keep your eyes out for an Art Tour coming to the hotel this June!
