Bart Blatstein, the President and CEO of Philadelphia-based Tower Investments, a leading developer of retail, entertainment, mixed use, residential and commercial properties, announced the reopening of Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, the largest non-casino hotel in New Jersey.

On Atlantic City’s storied Boardwalk, the iconic full-service hotel began its first phase of reopening with 852 oceanfront room and suites, including 38 1,100–square-foot oceanfront balcony suites. The balcony suites include 1.5 bathrooms, a living and dining area, wet bar with fridge and Jacuzzi tubs. The hotel also includes two 1,900-square-foot oceanfront Super Suites that offer the same plush amenities as the balcony suites, as well as a gas fireplace. ACSB Hospitality will manage the property.

“This is an exciting time for us – Tower Investments embraced this opportunity and hit the ground running to make the opening of this hotel happen in time for the prime summer tourist season,” Blatstein told Explore New Jersey. “We are extremely proud of this hotel, the fact we are open for guests now and that we are creating hundreds of jobs in Atlantic City, all while delivering an unforgettable experience for our guests at this iconic destination.”

Located at 801 Boardwalk, the hotel offers a full service bar named Worship Surf Bar on States Ave., the Canal Street coffeehouse featuring quality, fresh brewed coffee and fine pastries and the Atlantic City Eatery (ACE) that serves all-American food and drink for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We know that this hotel with its completely refreshed look and new direction will attract new guests to this wonderful city,” Blatstein told a group of media who covered the reopening. “My confidence and belief in the future of Atlantic City has never been stronger. We continue to see exciting momentum and my experience in this city will certainly play a critical role as we restore the Showboat Hotel to what it truly deserves for the future. There has been great interest in this hotel for meetings and other large events and we know that bringing this hotel back to life will have great positive impact on the surrounding areas and other attractions in the city.”
