Book a Boat Booze Cruise, Private Tour and More with Patriot Harbor Lines

by Cassie Hepler

Don’t judge Patriot Harbor Lines by the website alone.

“It cannot do justice for what we do at the Patriot. The owners, myself and crew strive to put the best tour in Philly for our guests. It’s not just a ‘one time deal,'” said Captain Walt Bohn, General Manager of Patriot Harbor Lines.

Not surprisingly, his favorite song to jam to while your hair is whipping through the Delaware River air is The Lonely Island’s “I’m On A Boat” featuring T-Pain.

A veteran boat cruiser by now, it is obvious customer service and creating a fun memorable experience is paramount to Captain Walt. The highlighted and hot tours are the Harbor Tours and Cocktail Cruises, which departs at Penn’s Landing Seaport Museum area, right next to the stellar Spruce Street Harbor Park (one of the best pop-up beer gardens in the city)… and a roller rink!

It really is a one stop destination for fun in the sun. As one Patriot boat lover said, it’s like a mini-vacation down the shore without actually leaving the city.

“We usually start at Penn’s Landing cruise to get up close and personal to the SS United States, then continue to the Walt Whitman Bridge, Battleship NJ, Ben Franklin Bridge and all the other sights in between,” said Captain Walt. “Our Harbor Tour is really the same route but we have a narrated version talking about the all the things mentioned above, yet we still have time to play music and pour drinks! The one thing we cannot take credit for is the views, we are just the boat that can provide them to you. Every trip, every day and night is different. After three years of being in business, I still find myself taking pictures like a tourist!”

And as you can see below, there is no shortage of amazing photos you can take – even with just your cell phone.

The boat has a regular schedule of trips this summer and are available for private charters. This year, numerous bachelorette parties, 30th birthday parties, corporate outings, private wine tastings and parties of just friends getting together for a night to remember make for perfect opportunities.

The private wine tastings are courtesy of Dan the Wine Man from Pinot Boutique in Old City and offer wine and cheese pairings while being lulled to relaxation by the waves. Whatever excuse you can come up with to go, experience your own private boat – it’s the only (legal) game in town!

And if you really are nautical by nature, you’ll love this memorable experience forever.
