Getting Snazzy for Emerge Magazine’s Gatsby Gala for NFLA at Pyramid Club

Photos, story by Meg Arbo

Come on babe why don’t we paint the town? And all the jazz. I’m gonna rouge my knees and roll my stockings down. And all that jazz…”

While there weren’t any rouged knees on display, there were certainly many fabulously fringed frocks and gleaming pearls and bugle beads as far as they eye could see at the Pyramid Club for the Gatsby Gala!

Guests mixed and mingled and took in the sounds of jazz band while several couples did their best Charlestons and foxtrots. Attendees posed for photos on the red carpet while others browsed the silent auction offerings and took in the stunning views of the city. Classic cocktails flowed plentifully as revelers tried their luck at the gaming tables.

Naturally this was all for the wonderful cause of the National football League Alumni Philadelphia Chapter’s Children’s Charities. As one of the original chapters (cities) the charity has grown in significance over time. Its members, a dynamic mixture of former players, many of them native Philadelphians (and former Philadelphia Eagles), their family members, as well as many former cheerleaders are passionate about their mission of “moving forward” and “caring for children”.

Emerge Magazine celebrated this charity by placing them on the cover of the business focused periodical. Check out the snazzy party pics below, kick up your heels and do the Charleston!
