Glamsino Royale: Havana Nights Heats Up Hotel Palomar for ActionAIDS
Philadelphia’s temperature might have been below zero, but anyone at Glamsino Royale: Havana Nights would have felt the excitement and seduction of Cuba just for one night last Thursday. This night featured Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Philadelphia third annual benefit event for ActionAIDS.
VIPs and ticket holders waited for the doors to open along red velvet ropes on the 24th and 25th floors and were greeting to festive décor, scrumptious appetizers and various casino tables. If gambling wasn’t your forte, there were numerous raffles to choose from: stay at one of the Kimpton Hotels in Boston, New York or Chicago; shop at local retailers; impress a date at a local restaurant; or you can win a chance to indulge in the arts from one of Philadelphia’s renowned theaters.
Between gambling for an excellent cause and grooving to the music spun by Matt Beirschmitt (DJ Sharyn Stone) that brought up the temperature of the room, guests also tried an array of Caribbean-themed beverages and appetizers from Hotel Palomar’s Executive Chef Caitlin Mateo of Kimpton’s Square 1682.
Everyone won big during this year’s fundraiser. No matter how low the temperature dropped outside, there were warm smiles and large hearts throughout the event to support the LGBTQ community, continue the never-ending commitment to educate and ensue that no one faces AIDS alone.
