The 52 Miss America 2017 contestants walked the boards to get to Showboat Hotel and enjoy a buffet dinner created by Tim Kuhlman, general manager and an excellent chef. The 52 pageant contestants dined in style as servers sliced into Filet Mignon, pepper crusted Ahi Tuna, a spinach and strawberry salad, roasted fingerling potatoes, mixed vegetables and assorted pastries to end a wonderful meal. Kuhlman told Explore New Jersey he selected entrees from various Showboat menus and fit dietary selections for the young ladies.
Marybeth Noonan is Miss Maine who hopes to be “their voice, a fundraiser for research for children with cancer.” At 14, she created a children’s entertainment party called Rent a Princess.The Misses America contestants enjoyed a spinach and strawberry salad

When dining in Arizona, Katelyn enjoys Mexican dishes that are semi spicy, and McKenzie is a chicken girl, Both enjoy chocolate desserts . Miss Maryland Hannah Brewer seeks a master’s degree in business administration. Her platform is Hannah’s Heroes-Supporting Our Military. She will sing Gold Bless America as her talent.
Local ladies who will vie for the Miss America crown are, Miss Pennsylvania, Samantha Lambert, left, and Miss New Jersey, Brenna Weick. Samantha is studying engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and is a breakfast food girl. For desserts, a cookie and mint chocolate chip ice cream are enjoyed. Brenna went to High Point University where she earned a degree in psychology. She’s a lady who enjoys Italian cuisine especially cheese ravioli. For dessert, give her a Ben & Jerry pint at Showboat Atlantic City Hotel.
Aleah Peters is Miss Nebraska, who hopes to prevent cyberbullying. Her goal is a bachelor of arts in communications st the University of Nebraska. Her talent: baton twirling.Roasted fingerling potatoes also were on the buffet.The Miss America contestants also enjoyed mixed vegetables.
