It was the hottest party in Philadelphia this summer. No, literally. It was tipping 100 degrees outside and when you pack over 1,200 people into the Kimmel Center, everyone was glistening.
Philadelphia Style Magazine‘s “Style on Broadway” best of style bash brought out Philly’s fashionable, Philly’s finest and Philly’s medley of women with bad (and a few good) boob jobs.
Joining Publisher John Colabelli and Editor-in-Chief Kristin Detterline for the magazine’s 12th Annual Best of Style Party, guests stopped and sweated outside the glass doors for the red carpet step and repeat photograph outside before being engulfed in the wonderfully chilly air conditioning inside.
Smartly dubbed an “evening of extravagance with notable Philadelphia socialites, dignitaries and celebrities (or Philebrities),” an endless array of interesting cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts by local Best of Style winners kept guests satiated and (de)hydrated while gambling lovers got a taste of the casino room presented by Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. All proceeds from the casino room benefited the Borgata Heart & Soul Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports community, health and human services, culture and education. The 2016 Best of Style Party is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Audi Dealers.
Every summer in the July/August issue, Philadelphia Style reveals the “Best of Style” guide; the area’s definitive guide to a luxury lifestyle of “anything essential and everything extravagant.” From shopping and beauty services, dining and nightlife, to home décor and real estate, “Best of Style” is the authoritative list year after year.
The official after party was held at Zee bar, next to Delilah’s where many party goers wondered how to get there and where is was located. However, a few brave souls kept partying on through the stagnant heat through the night. Party on, beautiful people. Party on.
