Story, video by Whitney Ullman

April showers may bring May flowers but it also makes water turn to wine for this year’s
Philly Wine Week 2016. Eight days of events from April 3-10, 2016 will grab you by the taste buds as you savor the range, diversity, quality and dedication of the world-class, wine obsessed restaurants and bars in Philadelphia.

Seasoned wine lovers and enthusiastic novices alike will find exciting new events throughout Philadelphia to suit both their palates and budgets. See our preview article from last year with a different location and vibe. Because of the increasing popularity of Philly’s winos, the opening corks kick off party at Stratus Lounge at Hotel Monaco on April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. is already sold out!

2014 was Philly Wine Week’s inaugural year and featured a handful of Philly’s leading wine spots in a collaborative effort to sip, learn and enjoy! Since then founders Kate Moroney (Vintage) and Bill Eccelston (Panorama) have worked with board members to bring you the 2106 edition of Philly Wine Week and establish the organization as a non- profit 501(c)(6).

Contact participating alphabetized venues directly on the website for additional information, reservations and ticketing options.

Stay tuned … there’s only more to learn in the video below! Philly Wine Week’s Leap Day Party was held on Monday, Feb. 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Alla Spina to mingle with Philly Wine Week’s Executive Board, while enjoying complimentary wine and snacks.
