Meet Rosetta, Ommegang Brewery’s New Cherry Lambic
Story, photos by Elspeth Misiaszek If you want to see craft beer aficionados crinkle their noses, offer them a fruit beer. Better yet, put fruit in their beer a la Blue Moon oranges or Corona limes. For the longest time, it’s simply not been commonly accepted that the world of tasty fruit and manly beer should meet … until now. Known for their high-octane selections, Ommegang Brewery has long been a staple in the craft brew world. Even their signature 750ml bottles seemed to laugh in the face of lower ABV beers. Up, Up and Away at the QuickCheck NJ Festival of Balloons
Photos by Cassie Hepler, story by Elspeth Misiaszek, Whether you’ve always loved watching these colorful globes float along wind drifts in the sky, or simply envied the romanticized concept of getting carried up, up & away from movies like The Great Oz, the QuickCheck NJ Festival of Ballooning gives you up close and personal access to 100s of gorgeously colorful hot air balloons. Philly Wine Week Kicks Off With Non-Arsenic Filled Wines
Photos, story by Cassie Hepler What’s better than drinking wine? Drinking wine without arsenic. Just kidding (well, kind of…) The real answer is drinking non-arsenic filled wine while looking at all the amazing art at PAFA (Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts). The second annual Philly Wine Week “Opening Corks” Gala featured premium sparkling whites and rosés Sunday. Spirits were high and heads were happily tipsy while guests donned their Spring attire (with winter jacket at coat check of course… as it’s still chilly in Philly). A not so hidden gem and mini Philadelphia Art Museum if you will, PAFA sits near City Hall on North Broad Street with glorious renaissance marble sculptures,…
