Bank on Delicious Tastes, City Views at Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, PA
When in Philly, stay and eat at Loews Hotel and Bank & Bourbon; both rate high marks in my playbook. “New York is a place where people go to reinvent themselves; Philadelphia is a place where people discover who they are.” – Chef Peter McAndrews Story, photos by Sharon Kozden Maybe like me, you’re a country mouse, living outside Philadelphia’s suburbs while still close enough to identify Philly as your home city. Country life has its pluses: falling asleep to the sounds of crickets, sweet silence for lack of passing vehicles on long and winding roads and land expanses with more nature than neighbor views are just a few. I’m talking…

Pizzeria Vetri is Brick Oven Pizza Served Family Style
Photos, story by Cassie Hepler Brick oven, thin pizza pie with fluffy crust and only the best and freshest ingredients… that pretty much describes Pizzeria Vetri. We chose to go to the Art Museum area location because if you get there early enough, there’s plenty of parking nearby (other locations near Rittenhouse Square and King of Prussia). Good food, good drinks & good people. Get delivery, dine in but make sure to sign up for the e-mailing list for a free rotolo (trust us, it’s soooo worth it). Not all pizza is created equal and as a person who eats it at least once a week and have eaten it in…

Square 1682’s Kickoff Party gets Philly in the Mood for Summer Lovin’
Photos, story by Deja Cromartie Restaurant Square 1682 located in the Rittenhouse section of the city, kicked off Summer the right way with its “Summer in The City” event. Guests enjoyed delicious bites prepared by Chef Caitlin Mateo and summer inspired cocktails in the restaurant’s patio. Square 1682’s is a tribute to William Penn, Pennsylvania’s founding father, who created Rittenhouse Square and four other similar plazas in order to establish urban open spaces in the heart of the city. Like Penn, the restaurant has a vision for the future as well by implementing sustainability measures throughout the restaurant which include the in-house herb garden, locally sourced produce, and energy conscious engineering of the building design.…

Take a Taste Bud Trip To Australia at Bluestone Lane at the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel
Photos, story by Cassie Hepler They come from a land down under where women glow and men plunder. These Men (and Women) at Work are bringing the café culture of Melbourne, Australia, to Philly. Because if you can’t physically travel, at least your taste buds can. Named after the Bluestone Lane in Australia, now you can satisfy your curiosity at the new coffee bar connected to the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel in Rittenhouse Square with outdoor seating set for Spring. Owner and founder Nicholas Stone decided Philly is the first non-Manhattan stop, with its growing foodie culture. Not having a foodie background but loving the culture of a good coffee shop, Stone has created…

Fanastic Food Porn: An Epic Philly Restaurant Roundup List That Will Leave You Drooling
Photos, story by Cassie Hepler We’ve eaten our way though Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, just to provide you with a stellar list of places – old and new – that serve just plain good food. And we’ve also done all the extra exercise that goes along with being a Philly phoodie! Philly is constantly churning through so many new restaurants (and we love and encourage all of them), however some are just classics that don’t get as much local love as they should. So cheers to a misfit food porn list that will certainly compel more than just your stomach to move. BonChon Chicken – 1020 Cherry Street (Chinatown)…
