Three Cheers for CHOP With Headliner Philly’s Own DJ Jazzy Jeff

Every good idea needs an extra push – this is what attendees for Cheers for CHOP so generously accomplished not only with ticket sales, but also a live and silent auction. This year’s event was once again held at the lavish Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia. Who needs to go to Atlantic City for casino excitement?
Hosted by The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, this annual event encouraged guests to dance to amazing music of Saved by the 90s and Go Go Gadjet. It wasn’t just a magical dance party. There were also wonderful appetizers, a section of gourmet tastings from LP Steak.
Of course everyone had energy to await the main event: Philadelphia’s own DJ Jazzy Jeff. He took center stage to spin some tunes and took the party into maximum overdrive.
All this fun wasn’t just for an amazing night out. Cheers for CHOP’s focus is to help further the success of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Many grateful children, adolescents and their families truly understand what a beacon of hope the hospital can offer them. Not only with medical resources and research, but also by becoming more than a medical center as a place that offers comfort.
The proceeds from this year’s successful event benefits CHOP’s Emergency Department. It is one of the most active pediatric emergency centers in the nation. The Emergency Department is home to the first Level 1 Trauma Center for children in the Delaware Valley and one of only 55 accredited poison control centers in the nation. CHOP’s Emergency Department offers treatment nearly 90,000 patients each year.
