Get Out of the Office Cubicle and into Co-working Space with WeWork

WeWork is a global entity that has caught on fire in the business and networking worlds. Not too long ago, office spaces for the little guy or gal did not exist. A person bought a building, or leased space for at least a year, then would renew if profitable for five years afterwards. WeWork has the building and provides people with the work space, community and services that you need to make a life, not just a living. Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey founded WeWork in 2010 with the intention of empowering creators to be more successful by leveraging the power of a global community. Basically, regardless of the city that you work in, you have access to the entire world with whatever field that you work in. And they are not just based in the United States. They are worldwide. Their newest location is at 1430 Walnut Street, but it’s not their only Philadelphia location. There are 3 others.
WeWork is a variety of things wrapped into one. It is a meeting or work space for their members of businesses that are based at a WeWork location. They have the size and space for every need. Are you a company of one, work from home and miss being around people? Do you own a company with several employees? You can rent a small or large space, meet fellow entrepreneurs and network with them. WeWork has a size to fit all, and it’s not all business and no pleasure. There are community rooms, conference rooms, common areas. They have “lunch & learns”, catered lunches while members share their knowledge, tips and expertise. They have weekly happy hours at their locations and networking events. Need a kitchen, they have it. Need internet and printing, they have it. Need a private booth for that important conference call? They have it. Let’s face it. They have it all! Really! WeWork has thought of everything that every business person would need. And yes, there’s also the WeWork App. With it, you can receive important updates from the community, find experts to help grow your business, book conference rooms, find and RSVP to WeWork events and so much more. Believe me now when I say they have thought of everything! Oh,and I almost forgot. Do you have a pet dog that doesn’t like to be left at home alone? Yes, you can bring you pet to work.
So, what does the monthly membership include? Let’s see…business class printing, supplies, coffee, beer (yes, I said beer), internet service, utilities, cleaning. Want more? OK, how about the convenience of one monthly membership fee or the flexibility of month-to-month terms; weekly community events; discounts on business services; award winning designs; access to other WeWork building around the world; ability to connect with other members online and in person; network with potential clients and investors. And they’re not done yet. Know someone in need of workspace? Refer a friend and they’ll give you 10% of their monthly membership fee for up to 12 months.
WeWork is a unique concept that meets the needs of anyone with a business looking to grow and network with others around the world. They have taken great strides to make sure the needs of today’s business persons are met, but in a fun and casual way. Check them out and give them a try. You and your business will be glad you did!
