Philly Restaurant and Bar BLUME Blooms at VIP Preview Party

Growing restaurant mogul Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group unveiled Blume, their latest restaurant and bar concept during a VIP preview bash on a warm April evening. Located in Rittenhouse on the former site of Cinder, Copper & Lace, Blume drew crowds eager to pose before its window’s larger-than-life, Peter Max-like colorful butterfly decal.
Inside, a ceiling covered in plants and bearing the establishment’s name twice as nice and in lights hovers over a relaxing banquette seating area. Between décor design elements (don’t miss the wall of realistic roses!), that are both whimsical and sophisticated, Blume is Philly’s summertime hot spot to be, sipping cocktails, craft beers and natural wines. Tapas-sized food offerings comprise a mélange of vegan and street-smart fare. Wood-fired pizzas also remain available. All things fresh and sustainable bring the outside in, fostering “en plein air” vibe.
Net-net, the Blume experience for me is like having a shore or tropical isle hang-out without the actual beach. It’s more colorful than a box of crayons, the candy-apple red and cotton-candy pink of down-the-shore boardwalk sweets. The light and airy feel comes in part courtesy of natural greenery and flowers. There’s even purple lighting casting wattage on the scene. And beat this … a purple-drizzled cocktail called “Purple Rain.” Swizzle stick that!
And just a sampling of some of the food options below…
If you’re looking for some fab Philly times in a stylish yet easy-going spacious place, get your beachy waves on and hit up Blume. Hey gals … show off your wicked-colored mani-pedis in this island-like world. Guys, break out the Bermuda shorts and soak in Teddy and Craft Concepts trendy new digs.
