Last Friday, PHS transferred the warehouse in the Navy Yard into full blown food-to-table gala. The annual event’s proceeds supports the City Harvest Program. Story, photos by Cassie Hepler I’ve eaten at Red Owl Tavern a handful of times now and have always loved every perfectly-prepared dish and impressive, multi-talented booze list. However, this time I was really blown away by the sheer meaty perfection of the rib-eye steak. Suggested to be cooked medium, I happily obliged as she described how it is drizzled with herbal butter (more fat, more calories… yes, please!). Each bite was succulent, satisfying and better than the last. I loved it so much, I took half home to revel in another day of its heavenly flesh (and tasted just as delightful the next day!)
