Enjoy a Low Key Vibe at Villa Cosy Hotel and Spa in Saint Tropez, France

Story, photos and video by Cassie Hepler

I went back to the airport in Nice, France to meet the rest of the press trip crew before this Côte d’Azur adventure officially kicked off! With some rest (and exploring Nice) under my belt already, I felt ready and refreshed for once since I flew in that Friday. I arrived early as usual from the Novotel Nice Arénas Airport hotel shuttle. While I thought maybe I booked too many nights ahead of time, it turned out to be just right as Spring Cassie would have needed a day or two max to recover but Fall Cassie is much more jacked up on the inside I soon learned. So we met up at the airport cafe while each journalist arrived one by one. The NYC gal also flew in a day or two beforehand so she arrived first while the LA gal was literally touching down and running on fumes. Once we gathered all the gals up, our amazing driver Sophie began the journey to Saint Tropez, France. From the Nice Airport, it took about 2 hours and there are train options as well. I thought about resting there from my 13 hour flight however could barely function when I arrived let alone speak French well and navigate a train system. The nice part about press trips is that you can usually allow someone else to do a lot of the thinking. I’m just glad I retained some French in this brain!

Upon arrival in Saint Tropez, I was so excited I starting filming everything and immediately ran around gathering content at Villa Cosy. I immediately fell in love with the heated bidet toilet. Words I never thought I would say but this place is seriously next level on every single tiny detail. La Villa Cosy is a luxurious 5-star hotel and spa in Saint-Tropez located slightly up the coastal hill that offers a unique blend of namesake wine, comfort, style and relaxation. From the peaceful, tranquil rooms to the organic, small batch vineyard behind it and in front of Villa Eucléia, the 7-bedroom villa which includes a private chef and maid. One of the few mom & pops left in Saint Tropez, France, it offers breakfast at any time you request in your room. I accidentally tested that theory when I was up at 5 a.m. and couldn’t sleep out of sheer excitement to explore this slice of island paradise made famous by Bridget Bardot – who still lives there. Merci très beaucoup for the delicious velvety bottles of red wine, they made it all the way to Phoenix and will be enjoyed with friends this fall. According to one of the amazing staff, the vibe shifts in October to a quiet, peaceful oasis and I was here for it.

After an amazing dinner out on the town which is about a 10 minute walk, we came back and I drifted off to sleep after some hot tub wine time. But awoke at 5 a.m. bright eyed and bushy tailed wondering why though? Probably because in Phoenix it was daytime and my body was confused. So I made the most of it, enjoying the sunrise and ordering breakfast – which I then repeated the next morning although at a normal hour. I was sad to leave this little slice of heaven on the hillside which is a great escape from the bustling streets in the summertime. But would love to return to explore more!
