Wag!, the first app to provide dog owners with instant access to quality dog walkers, is announcing its launch in 16 new cities nationwide after successful launches in major markets such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Its launch in Philadelphia is part of the company’s plan for continued growth across the nation. And whether it’s doing doggie yoga on the pier or playing a game of fetch at Schuylkill River Park, there is really no limit to the way owners in Philly can bond with their dogs. With Wag!, dog walkers can be summoned with as little as 30 minutes’ notice. Walks can be tracked on users’ phones by GPS in real time. A “pup report” is delivered by the app at the end of each walk, including a picture/video of the pet, map of the route taken, and full disclosure on exactly when and where the pet did its business. Walks can last 20, 30, or 60 minutes, with an additional charge of $5 per dog in the same household. Walkers are available 24/7.

Viner founded Wag! with the mission to make it easier to own and care for a dog.
Wag! is also using its platform to encourage pet adoption. It has partnered with select shelters in Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco to donate walks to new pet parents. Most recently, Wag! has partnered with Homeward Pet Adoption outside of Seattle for a month-long collaboration. Wag! also donates a meal to a shelter dog for every dog walked, through Rescue Bank.
Founded in January 2015, Wag! is an on-demand app-based mobile service that allows dog owners to hire thoroughly vetted walkers for insured and bonded walks. The app notifies owners when their dog is picked up and allows them to follow the walk through Wag!’s GPS “Puppy Tracker”. When the walk is finished the owner receives a “Pup Report” indicating distance travelled and time, along with a “pee & poo” record, a photo/video and any notes the walker may need to communicate.
