Order a Massage to Your Door with Soothe App
Story by Cassie Hepler
Los Angeles, California based massage on demand company Soothe delivers a licensed, insured massage therapist to your house, office or hotel within 60 minutes! Soothe celebrated 5 years in August 2019 by rolling out Soothe Plus subscription service, plus a Soothe Stretch program for the workplace. Over the years, Soothe has given almost 1 million massages worldwide and is 70 markets across 4 countries, with over 13,000 background-checked therapists to boot. Not too shabby! Think of them as the Uber or Lyft of massage therapy.
My lifestyle and travel blog ExplorewithCassie.com worked with Soothe app when they first rolled out and came to the Philadelphia, PA market. You can read about that experience here. But in some sort of weird coincidental way the world works, I was matched up with the very same male massage therapist that gave me my first massage after moving to Arizona when I lived in the AirBnB hobbit hole two years ago. He remembered me immediately after I explained that location… who wouldn’t?
My massage therapist was a little shy and didn’t want to be photographed or any Instagram stories/photos but he did share his YouTube channel with plenty of adorable cat videos which everyone loves. His name? Jason the (New) Jersey Jew. Being a cat lady currently, I enjoyed them!
Fortunately for me, he was already familiar with my scoliosis spinal fusion which requires monthly (ideally bi-weekly) massages to keep my shoulders from becoming earrings so I didn’t have to go through the whole “don’t massage on the spine as it doesn’t move spiel” all over again. He had a custom made playlist, a heated massage bed he brought along and a Crockpot with a hot wet towel to wipe off the oil at the end. He also included aromatherapy and some light stretching. I requested a deep tissue massage and although it wasn’t the near painful level I require to maintain my robot back, it was nice and relaxing.
A one-time massage has standard pricing for a 60, 90 or 120-minute massage, which starts at $109 for a 60-minute massage. Clients who purchase a Soothe Plus yearly or monthly membership subscription will automatically receive 20 to 25% percent off standard pricing. You can book your massage via soothe.com, the Soothe app, or call 833-276-6843.
They also offer Soothe At Work, the world’s largest corporate massage program which sends therapists to workplaces to stretch and massage employees on a subscription basis. Talk about workplace perks!
