Check out the new and improved Prescott Pines Inn! Nick and Sara Medina from Medina Hospitality purchased Prescott Pines Inn in February 2022, formerly a traditional B&B. After upgrades and updates on the 11 rooms and property, the duo has transitioned it from bed and breakfast to a hotel and Vino Prescott wine bar in July 2023. Now it’s all complete and a total pine tree experience with a peaceful stream flowing behind it! This was before the snowfall came and I had a couple of snow days so keep that in mind in the winter months.
The 11 guest rooms and lodge cabin are situated under mature pines around the main house, nestled among the majestic pines and a seasonal creek in Prescott, Arizona. Prescott is pronounced like “Press-KIT” like a biscuit by the way, mispronounce and you will be corrected by a random stranger! Each guest room is individually decorated to make this a cozy boutique resort that offers private porch entries and private bathrooms in every room. Guest grills and fire pits are available, private and common seating areas, and the seasonal creek running in the back of the property. Rooms include Tuft & Needle mattresses, luxury linens, Roku TV, hairdryer, heating and AC units, Keurig machines, high speed internet and many little nooks and crannies to enjoy nature outside. I found that having a room more tucked back is ideal and quiet compared to the busy road right outside so keep that in mind when booking!
I had just arrived from Pinetop-Lakeside, thinking this was a fast drive from the previous place I was blogging about… haha the joke was on me! Four hours later, I was just thankful to be closer to Phoenix at this point and somehow avoiding the winter storms brewing. But weather wise it was like a whole different planet! I had booked a reservation at adjacent Vino Wine Bar, open Wednesday through Sunday upon my arrival because I knew I would need to wind and wine down after that trek. So I grabbed tons of content, unpacked, changed and popped over there as soon as possible as I don’t like to make guests feel awkward being in my videos or content. Consent – in any and all forms – is very important!

Girl dinner for a bottle and board at Vino Prescott!
A charcuterie board and bottle of wine for $25 is a no brainer at Vino Prescott! It’s also the perfect girl dinner to share… or not and is their Wednesday special at Prescott Pines Inn. So thankful the snow storm held off until I arrived four hours later from Pinetop-Lakeside and was able to fit this in and an outfit change too. That worked out well as I jumped in to model for some pics and video as well!

Coffee in Prescott, Arizona
And right next to it The Edison Market also related to Prescott Pines Inn and the Motor Lodge.
The Motor Lodge was the Medinas’ first purchase in Prescott in 2019, however their first hospitality concept was The White Rabbit in Gilbert, Arizona. The Motor Lodge is a funky, mid century modern, eclectic property that has been a part of Prescott since mid-1930’s. It actually gave Nick an inspiration to create the Edison Market with a similar feel and atmosphere. And it’s packed full of great hand-selected wines, beer and pretty much anything you can think of honestly. Sara Medina just recently earned her Associate of Applied Science in Viticulture and Enology. Eventually, she will be making her own wine in the near future and we’re here for it!

Soon it was time to clean off the car, part two, which Pearl has never experienced before I realized. Fortunately, the helpful staff at Prescott Pines Inn lent me their ice and snow scraper for this very reason. I forgot what a workout it is to do every morning but appreciated the upper body cardio! At this point, I was ready to go back to sunny Phoenix and lower altitudes as I forgot about mountain life rhythm and how the weather dictates your plans. That’s part of why I moved! But was nice to experience a touch of winter. Looking forward to returning to Prescott to explore more of the rest of the spaces above soon. Happy travels!
