Shake Shack’s Chicken Creation is White Hot Meaty Goodness!

Shake Shack unveiled its newest item to an already difficult-to-choose-from menu. The “Hot Chick’n” sandwich made its debut and ever since it has been taking over sales at the King of Prussia establishment. Store manager Charlotte was kind enough to take a few minutes from her hectic schedule to tell us a little more about it.
She said there had been more orders for the new sandwich than for their regular chicken sandwich and that it is on par with sales for their famous ShackBurgers over the past week. While we were waiting for our food, we overheard patrons say they’d rather have the “Hot Chick’n” than the standard burger.
Of course, I was a little torn not being able to have a ShackBurger, but once Charlotte explained it’s the coleslaw that makes the sandwich, “…that and the pickles,” she said, I was instantly intrigued and wanted to taste for myself if what she was saying rang true.
When the sandwiches came out accompanied by two sodas, fries, and cheese dip I was more than ready to find out. After snapping a few photos, we dug in and everything sort of slowed down while I tried to make sense of how all these flavors were coming from such a simple-looking package. The fried chicken breast was juicy, and the crust was a perfect blend of salty, crunchy goodness. The pickles and coleslaw provided a sweet and sour dichotomy against the savoriness of the chicken, while also providing the “Hot” from which the name is derived.
Almost gone from my memory was the want, just minutes ago, for a ShackBurger. The “Hot Chick’n” sandwich fulfilled my every Shake Shack desire and left me completely satisfied. Everything Charlotte told us was true. Like friends who say how great Paris or New York City is yet their descriptions are nothing like experiencing it for yourself, that’s what it’s like biting into the “Hot Chick’n” sandwich. It is something you have to try if only once because I’m telling you, the next time I go to Shake Shack, I’m ordering the “Hot Chick’n.”
If you’re in the area, stop by the Shake Shack in King of Prussia. Their staff is funny and full of personality. The restaurant was clean and on a warm and muggy day, it was cool and refreshing inside. Not to be mistaken for the Shake Shack inside the actual KOP mall (I haven’t been to that restaurant), this establishment is located at 160 N. Gulph Rd, outside of the mall, across from JC Penney. Try the “Hot Chick’n.” Even traditional Shack Burger enthusiasts won’t regret it.
