Explore Philly had a blast at Skippack’s 8th Annual Winetober Fest. The event took place on an October weekend and we chose to attend the Saturday daytime session.
Skippack, PA is an adorable small town located in Montgomery County. With lots of little shops, restaurants and bars, the quaint town offers a lot of things to check out. We picked up our entrance passes, wine cup (attendees could upgrade to receive a wine glass with the VIP passes) and were off to sample all the wines!
Some of the stand-out wines included a large sampling from A’Dello Vineyard & Winery. We love fruit-infused wines and they had several to choose from – one even came with a handful of dark chocolate! Paradocx Vineyard was another favorite of the day with their wine served in charming paint cans and two delightful young ladies pouring the samples.
There were two bands playing throughout the day in addition to multiple crafts vendors, LuLaRoe vendors, cheese and sauce sampling, natural body products and last but not least, yoga with a special goat named Sneakers! Everyone seemed to be enjoying the surprisingly warm fall day (with wine flowing freely, is this really a surprise?). Since it was a dog-friendly event, we got to meet a few great dogs and talk to several people as well. Most Winetober Fest attendees came with their friends and significant others, but we met a couple of families enjoying the day too.
After the festival was over, we had a delightful dinner at Justin’s Carriage House located right in Skippack. The mozzarella sticks appetizer and my steak salad hit the spot after a day filled with lots of wine.
Be sure to check out the next Skippack Winetober Fest this fall! Tickets go on sale in late summer.
