W New York brought the runway to the hotel living room in July with the launch of a new collection with THE CXX, the fashion house’s first-ever hotel collaboration. THE CXX, whose name means 120 decibels, is creating a voice for a new age of creators and influencers to share their visions. A six to 10 piece made-in-New York City collection of refined, unisex casual pieces for the city traveler will be showcased during Men’s Fashion Week available for purchase at the event and online at www.THECXX.com. Each piece in the line possesses a surprising design element and accessible price point; a collaboration for and by the people.
THE CXX’s Philadelphia-based designer, Muhammed Elgawly, will be realizing his dreams with the launch of the collection at the W Hotel’s flagship property, W New York. For Elgawly, the collaboration with the W’s flagship property is symbolic of his journey as a fashion designer. “The connection to W New York is a natural one as THE CXX raws inspiration from many of the same sources the hotel does. Both brands celebrate energy, comfort, spontaneity, and smart, sleek cutting-edge sensibility. It’s an honor to be launching at the flagship W Hotels property, launching at the hotel that started it all.”
A collection well-aligned with W New York’s timelessness and iconic style, THE CXX line will be a livable, functional testament to New York City’s vibrance and 24-7 culture. Born as a response to the high-end sensibilities of modern street culture, THE CXX was founded in 2013 with a continued focus on precise craftsmanship, high grade fabrics, and fine tailoring. The collection will be composed of wearable, high-fashion garments tailored for modern street-wear including bathrobes designed exclusively for W Hotels of New York.
