Run, Walk or Bike Ride with Inaugural Philadelphia Flyers Charity Classic
Video by Whitney Ullman The Philadelphia Flyers announced a major summertime run, walk, and ride event this July, called the Philadelphia Flyers Charity Classic. Scheduled for Sunday, July 16, 2017, the Flyers Charity Classic encompasses a 5K walk or run, a 10-mile family bike ride, as well as 50K and 100K bike rides. The day will allow Flyers fans of all ages the opportunity to run, walk, or ride down Broad Street and beyond in a variety of ways. They just concluded their 50th season since entering the NHL and Explore-Philly was there to experience the last game of the season. The fans were decked out in orange and black. Flyers jerseys were everywhere. There was a definite sense of bittersweet pride for the home team knowing going into the game it would be their last and that the pure awesomeness of playoff hockey would have to wait until next year.
