iPic Theaters Mixes Movies, Chefs and Crafted Cocktails for a Luxury Escape in Scottsdale, AZ
Story by Cassie Hepler, photos courtesy of iPic Theaters
Imagine going to the movies in your own first class VIP pod for two. Now imagine pressing a button to have ninja waiters dressed in all black suddenly appear at your beck and call to deliver you chef created menu items (like steak!) and crafted from scratch cocktails. This place does exist and it exists in Arizona only in Scottsdale at iPic Theaters… a perfect luxury escape from those sweaty summer days or nights!
You know how all the theaters are finally catching on to lounge chair style movie chairs instead of the stiff-as-a-board old school style? Well, iPic was the first to upgrade. And since everybody else is doing it, it’s now time to lead the way yet again while maintaining the same pricing. Imagine that! Eight screen, iPic theaters now feature exclusive patent-pending viewing pods with non-neck crunching front-row chaise lounges.
Scottsdale’s new auditoriums are home to iPic’s seating pods that you can pre-reserve your seats on their app, arriving with courtesy personal pillows and blankets. These visionary seating pods, designed to provide an intimate seating and sound experience complete with booming bass vibration, boast state-of-the-art design innovation and revolutionary acoustic technology for superior sound. Comprised of two leather seats, they fully recline at the touch of a button and are encapsulated by an elegant curved wood enclosure with personal cup holders. The pods and new chaise lounges are also equipped with swivel tables, service call buttons and a convenient cubby in the corner to tuck away small items.
The ninja servers will deliver culinary from a signature dine in the dark menu by acclaimed three-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Sherry Yard (below) in addition to a farm to glass beverage menu by iPic Executive Bartender/Corporate Sommelier Adam Seger (above).
In addition to viewing the latest Hollywood blockbusters, members and guests will be able to enjoy alternative content such as live shows including magic, comedy, along with gaming competitions and other iPic experiential ticketed events. Seats may be reserved ahead of time by visiting iPic.com or downloading the iPic app.
