Originally we were supposed to stay at another dome home space nearby in Bryce Canyon, Utah. But those domes are twice the price, heavily populated with so many people staying overnight which means everyone is driving by noisily on the gravel roads and a general this is not the fully immersed in nature vibe we signed up for. So the universe worked in our favor with the Bryce Canyon Country tourism board who delivered us to Bryce Glamp and Camp in the town of Holm, Utah, which is established in 2020 and it’s wild to think it didn’t exist just a few years ago. With only 17 domes spread out over this pretty red rock property, it was a much needed escape from the real world. And we even saw the timid black mouser cat literally on the last night after I sighed I haven’t seen a cat this trip… it’s kind of my thing now being a childless cat lady and all.
We stayed at Bryce Glamp and Camp for two nights, using it as a dome home base for hiking and back roading the surrounding area as well as some fun excursions below. Each dome has a separate seating area outside as well as a grill, gas fireplace, picnic table and lounge chair. Inside the dome was very green and spacious with a small kitchenette featuring a hot plate, toaster oven and Keurig coffee maker, a full bathroom with good water pressure, a living room area with huge TV which came in clutch after hiking, and air conditioning and heat for each dome. We didn’t use the heat at all but those nights do get a little chilly, nothing a couple blankets (one heated) won’t fix. I think our main bed was a double and the couch folded out to a larger queen size so we played musical beds until my hip stopped aching. I ended up on the more foam mattress couch bed and my guest felt better in the fluffy pillow top. The wifi worked well for us and connected to whatever dome you were near with the same password, easy and breezy there. The land is about 20-25 mins drive from Bryce Canyon National Park and 10 mins from the nearby tiny town of Tropic, Utah. If you can plan it out, get your groceries before you come into Bryce area however they do have a small store inside the check-in dome which beat both nearby grocery store prices. The grocery store in Tropic has the necessities but is small and the one at Ruby’s Inn is way overpriced. The check-in dome has a useful little store with more than just food and souvenirs galore which is managed by the super nice and helpful Jesse (also my brother’s name). It’s a lovely, well-maintained and more private property.
Bryce Glamp And Camp broke ground in 2020 during Covid with a vision of providing visitors with a one-of-a-kind escape and a place for people to enjoy nature. Down a mile of dirt road, tucked away in a valley at the foot of Bryce Canyon National Park, Bryce Glamp and Camp is a unique way to discover and immerse yourself in Utah. At these unique glamping domes or RV/camping space, you will have your own slice of heaven to admire nature safe and soundly. Everything went smoothly for us so we didn’t need to contact Jesse at all except a “we just checked out” text. Owned by Nationwide RV and Resorts, it is a publicly traded company who recently acquired Bryce Glamp and Camp in May 2025. You too can own a piece of peace with NWRV stock, available for purchase on the OTCPK Stock Exchange. This opportunity allows Bryce Glamp and Camp to expand and flourish as well as establish other RV parks with the first being in Littlefield, AZ. Look at that coming full circle! Honestly, it would be nice to own one here for the hot Arizona summers.

He’s also a cat dad so we shared all sorts of cat photos and videos upon arrival. Good vibes all around!I wasn’t kidding when I said they have everything you could need at Bryce Glamp and Camp.I’m sure there’s some bug spray in here somewhere at Bryce Glamp and Camp, one thing we forgot to pack!Tons of tasty ice cream for those sweet treat moments at Bryce Glamp and Camp at great prices.Microwave meals which was our go to for the last night at Bryce Glamp and Camp.They also have all the merch you can think of at Bryce Glamp and Camp.I really liked this cool cat T-shirt and kind of wished I got it now at Bryce Glamp and Camp.A whole stack of other T-shirt options too at Bryce Glamp and Camp, things you won’t find elsewhere.Of course some rad stickers for your water bottle at Bryce Glamp and Camp too!A wall of crystals, gifts and jewelry from local artists at Bryce Glamp and Camp.And just in case you forgot the carbs, snacks or soups, they have those too at Bryce Glamp and Camp.Right across from the check-in dome, a communal area at Bryce Glamp and Camp.We were more than ready to explore our dome number four at Bryce Glamp and Camp. Parking was to the left with a sign.The porch of our dome had all your camping delights at Bryce Glamp and Camp.A brand new grill awaits to sizzle your meats at Bryce Glamp and Camp.Entering into our dome, the curtains were drawn shut to maximize the AC during the day at Bryce Glamp and Camp. The couch folded out into a queen sized foam bed that was actually pretty comfy!A dining table that served as a pack and go and breakfast nook in the mornings at Bryce Glamp and Camp.The kitchen had everything we needed at Bryce Glamp and Camp with extra coffee just in case.The TV with fireplace option came in clutch after a tiring day of hiking at Bryce Glamp and Camp. With the pullout bed, even better!The double bed that was in the bedroom area at Bryce Glamp and Camp. So good!Right as twilight hit at Bryce Glamp and Camp. You can see some of the smoke still lingering from the fires in Utah which was a complete haze the night before.One lone star or was it the moon that was captured here at Bryce Glamp and Camp.We went back inside as the bugs were snacking on us and enjoyed watching the sky from our comfy couch bed at Bryce Glamp and Camp.
Overall, the dome stay was a unique experience, perfect for those who want something a little different and something a little closer to nature without the inconveniences of camping old school style. This place is seriously awesome because the location is secluded and private and you really feel immersed in nature. The views are incredible and both sunset and sunrise are something special. Everything you need for a simple camping style dinner is there if you want to grill and chill such as steaks, burgers, hot dogs and of course s’mores. Restaurants in the area can backed up especially during spring break, so don’t hesitate to grab food from the check-in dome or a local market and eat in. Someone highly recommend Dome #1 and said it has the best view on the property. Host Jesse was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. It’s a perfect dome home base for visiting Bryce Canyon, and the stargazing here is on another level! Speaking of dark skies… here’s some of the rad things we did while here below.
Stargazing in Bryce Canyon, Utah
We really lucked out with the perfect night for a dark sky experience in Bryce Canyon, Utah! Literally the day after we went, the smoke from the Utah fires was filling the sky from all directions and not showcasing the beauty of the night sky. Also the sun doesn’t set until 9 p.m. in Utah during the summer solstice so you really have to wait until it’s hella late. It messed us up at first having 15 hours of daylight but we soon acclimated to the rhythm of rest in the hottest portion of the day, then come alive again later. So it made sense that the start time for this stargazing event with Bryce Canyon Stargazing literally started at 9 .m. meetup time to see the incredible night skies of Southern Utah. This has been on my bucket list since I was a child so you can imagine my excitement.
What to bring includes warm clothing like a jacket or hoodie as temperatures drop quickly after sunset. If you’ve booked during colder months, they recommend bringing a hat, warm socks, gloves and a jacket. They provide a blanket and camping chair with hot chocolate in your cup holder for each customer. And I wish we brought a red flashlight to help preserve night vision because that’s all your going to see after a certain point – and green laser beams as the staff points out the night sky. You’ll sign a waiver before or at your arrival and then watch a short film on metal chairs before you head out back with huge, expensive telescopes staggered in the driveway that show many different stars, moons and planets.
They do have a shuttle from Best Western Grand (meet at the park bench across the parking lot. Look for the A-frame sign with our logo labeled “Shuttle Stop”) and Ruby’s Inn (wait at the bus stop directly in front of the main office. Look for the A-frame sign with our logo labeled “Shuttle Stop.”) However I recommend you drive so you can take endless cell phone photos at the end of the night that the staff will help you capture! Also keep in mind this is a weather permitting experience so if we waited one more night with the Utah fires, we would have had to reschedule. Enjoy talk, let’s nerd out and explore space together!

After we looked through telescopes and saw so many stars including Cassieopia (that’s me, the W in the sky) and our astrological signs, we were tired but excited to see our cell phones in action.After some help downloaded a needed photo app for Android Galaxy phones, I was finally able to capture some amazing images myself with help from the staff at Bryce Canyon Stargazing. I am now obsessed with learning on my Nikon which they do offer classes for $150 but I’m pretty sure I can play around in Arizona and figure it out.We were so psyched but tired that we played around even more so later at the cabin and caught this stunner! I think I have a new addiction and it’s a harmless, beautiful one at that.
