Sweets are pretty, um sweet … but you know what makes them taste even better? Booze. Incorporating booze into your dessert options, whether it be the spongy variety, the liquid kind or the injected variety, you really can’t go wrong. That’s why I’ve wrangled up the 6 best boozy desserts in Philly for the 21+ only.

Max Brenner in Center City, Philadelphia

This chocolate bar and restaurant mecca in the city has chocolate pizza (!!) for crying out loud. So it only makes sense they have a medley of other amazing concoctions such as the Berry Lovely, above, Snickers chocolate (with satisfaction guaranteed), chocolate martinis and white Russians with marshmallow tops. Need something savory? They’ve (surprisingly) got you covered there too with the ultimate mole burrito, cheeseteak waffles with crispy onions and a chocolate ganache filled oversized syringe.

The Pastry Prophet, Mt. Airy

What happens when fresh cherries are soaked in Kirschwasser for days… errr months even? Some potent bombs of flavor – and booze. These Drunk Slut Cherries™ are the perfect gift for your girlfriend… or your coworkers, who like a good morning buzz. Because they are just chocolate-covered cherries, right? Another magical mixture in the making – Victory beer ice cream infused cupcakes that are drool worthy.

WonderLand Cakes, food truck found at Drexel University

Hot chicks on food truck wheels are slinging their “Boozy Balls” right into your mouth – and you like it. Usually found at Drexel lunch service and various festivals in Philly and NJ, these ladies know how to make salty chocolate balls that make you want to put ‘em in your mouth and suck ‘em! They’re somewhere between a truffle and a cake pop (without the annoying stick), featuring flavors such as Irish Car Bomb, Passionfruit Margarita, Limonchello, and Strawberries and Champagne.

Bakers Jar, right off South & 16th streets

Just launched this year, putting sweets in mason jars has never been such a good idea (because they stay fresher this way after you buy a dozen and eat them slowly – ha, ha!) That dozen of tres leches rum, above, infused deliciousness that you just inhaled will get you some chance back toward your next dozen when you return the glass and lid. Other seasonal booze infused jars pop up, especially around St. Patty’s Day.

MagPie, South Philly

Whether you like peach bourbon or butterscotch bourbon, above, this lady can take any type of booze you like and make a pie – or cake – for your sweetheart, errr… you. You’ll notice a swift kick in the behind after having a slice that you thought was just a piece of pie. So deliciously evil, you’ll be back for more!

Ms. Goody Cupcake, East Passyunk

No, those aren’t test tubes sticking out of cupcakes. They are booze-filled shots, ready to be either injected into the cupcakes or taken before or after – your choice. Try the Snickertail with Rumchata, Going Bananas with banana liquor and chocolate covered bacon, 5’O Clock Somewhere with tequila, Raspberry di Amore with Chambord, Lemon Shot with vodka or the Amaretto Dream with well, duh.
