Part of island life in Jamaica is the impressive rain storms! After the island storms in Jamaica, the most beautiful sky appeared. It’s just part of island life living in Jamaica at S Hotel Montego Bay at Doctor’s Cave beach. Even with maybe four hours of sleep before the 7.5 hour flight from Phoenix, Arizona with Delta, I was immediately re-energized upon arrival with views like this and inspired to get into the glistening Caribbean Sea straight away. Soon I was swimming around, playing in the salty water and getting my toes sandy until it was time to head inside and enjoy some Red Stripe beer by the pool which is open 24 hours. The beach is open to guests from 6 a.m. to roughly 6 p.m. with doors locked by 9 p.m. for safety purposes and they have a towel exchange program. Of course you can always go elsewhere on your own but better safe than sorry. This all-inclusive resort only allows children 8 years old and up but I had yet to see one the whole time I was there… just sayin’ leave those kids home!

I tried out almost every restaurant at this location and found the buffet the fastest but the fancier restaurants the most enjoyable vibes. There are also refillable water bottle stations on each floor to stay hydrated. And the best part? You don’t have to worry about food poisoning. Somehow Jamaica missed that mark but be mindful where you eat outside of the hotel!

Playing with the prettiest maxi dress at Doctor’s Cave beach! I learned that the best way to explore S Hotel Montego Bay in Jamaica is to stick with my own time zone (Arizona Mountain time), get up early and have the beach almost all to myself for hours. We had a huge rain storm the night before that left the turquoise waters so calm and clear, it was like looking out at diamonds in the Caribbean Sea. Fish were jumping, tiny silver fish swimming nearby, nibbling at my toes and I just floated around, doing some lazy laps which was feeding my heart and soul.
