Photos, story by Christine Tarlecki Trimble Manatawny Still Works just released their 3rd Rum Batch and celebrated with a huge Tiki Party on a sunny Saturday at the end of March. Steel drums, cocktail classes, tastings and food by Oscar’s Catering really set the Spring spirits high. Inside the cavernous room, the sounds of the tropics mingling with the chatter of excitement for the party, bartenders discussing drinks and the clink of glasses. Plus, the first round was on the house! VP of Sales and Marketing Randy McKinley took us on a tour and we tasted all of the fine crafted spirits while the steel drums washed over the crowd. Get Your Grasshopper Tacos and Margaritas On at Taqueria Feliz in Manayunk
Story by Christine Tarlecki Trimble, photos by Cassie Hepler Outside, it was pouring down rain on a busy Main Street in Manayunk. Inside Taqueria Feliz, it is warm and cozy, with bright colors and inviting seats with rustic decor. We slide into seats and are greeted by our lumberjack with a big, sweet heart waiter, Dan. We perused the extensive drink menu and decide on La Paloma (grapefruit soda and silver tequilas) and had to sample the Mezcal flight, below. We ordered appetizers while we waited for our drinks, feeling warm in the comfortable and cute restaurant with the rain lashing down outside. A side note, this writer has never been to Manayunk before! The shame!…

Hosted at this writer’s house, with 7 closes friends, we arranged…

Story by “Hep Cat” Christine Tarlecki Trimble, Photos by “Swell” Samara Messer The Jazz Age on the Delaware debuted on August 1 on the grounds of the Glen Foerd mansion estate, and what an event it was. Transforming itself to a grand old age of 1920s, this event was truly the bee’s knees!
