Happy hour awaits you in the luxe lobby lounge every day from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring wine, beer, hot toddies and snacks. And it’s pet friendly too if you don’t want to leave Fluffy out of the fun. In fact, you never even need to leave the comforts of the art-infused hotel and brave the frigid winter air. A brief excursion to Umai Royal for a thai food fix was had, however that short, 5-minute hike made you appreciate the warm, cozy hotel bubble all the more.
And a nice surprise due to a hijacked Instagram account, Stratus Lounge was offering free dessert to those who followed the new account in front of the server. After being quickly rewarded with chocolate truffles, it makes you wonder why you always don’t get a treat for following social media! Cocktails at Stratus are always on point thanks to Chauncey Scates, the head bartender with her sweet, Southern style. By midnight, on one of the coldest nights of the season, the place was packed with a wide array of ages.
And since that damn groundhog is at it again with 6 more weeks of winter (because animals can always predict the weather), you might as well hunker down in style.
